Firecracker Footrace is a Fundraiser for the Park Rapids Area Cross Country and Track and Field Teams of Park Rapids Minnesota

Pickle Events

Starts and finishes at Heartland Park!  Begin your July 4th celebration day off with a family fun event in scenic Park Rapids Minnesota! For the more serious runner this event is a certified USATF fast course. This year the event is chip timed by Pickle Events!

In order to hold a safe well run event we will cap race to 850 runners/and walkers.

The Firecracker 5K event kicks off the Fourth of July festivities in Park Rapids Minnesota! Shops and restaraunts will also be open July 4th for you to spend your day exploring Park Rapids! Join in the parade on Main Street and stick around for Music in the Park and finish off the day watching a spectacular Firework display at Heartland Park!

FREE KIDS FUN RUN
(12 & Under) It is held after 5K (APPROXIMATELY 10:15 A.M.) No formal registration yet meet at the finish line area to pick up a race bib for kids who want to wear one. Popsicles at finish for the kids!

 We will also hold 3-4 different distances to accommodate the kids age groups; TBD yet sample is 4-under,5-7,8+

    It would be great if they could separate walkers to be in the back of the line up in 2017. There were so many walkers to weave around as a runner. They could have a rope where anyone walking lines up behind that. I think it would make it more enjoyable for both runners and walkings.
